Hi, I’m Willard

Barn Sanctuary received a call from Jackson County Animal Control regarding a smaller sanctuary struggling to feed its animals. The animals there were living in squalor, breeding freely, and being fed only every few days.

We stepped in to remove all 26 pigs and piglets, providing immediate care and searching for new homes. Fortunately, we were able to rehome several pigs to other sanctuaries.

The remaining pigs, a total of 16 (including 2 that had litters), have now found their forever home at Barn Sanctuary. We built a new habitat specifically for potbelly pigs, where they can now spend their days playing in their yard and basking in the sun.

Willard has a very sweet disposition. He is one of 2 older males who had been rehomed to Reba’s Rescue until their closure and returned to Barn in fall 2023.

He is the taller of the two elder males and his tusks give him a permanent “joker” smile.

Sponsorships help us provide daily care, regular medical checkups, and cover any unexpected emergency care costs for each animal. Sponsor Willard to help us provide the care he deserves!
